Dry conditions, strong winds, and a short lap were on the menu at today’s Ronde van Oud-Vossemeer in the Netherlands—the first round of the Dixhoorn Fiets Service Criterium Cup.
Fast Start & Early Attacks

With six riders on the start line, our game plan was simple—full gas from the start! Just after the first lap, Hjalmar Klyver had already opened a small gap on the field. The course was short and intense, with lap times just over two minutes, leaving no room for the peloton to ease up.
After around 15 minutes of racing, a group of seven riders broke away, including Hjalmar and Axel Källberg. At the same time, Hjalmar took the first sprint points in the Sprint Cup, while Axel secured second place in the sprint.
The Break Forms & Teamwork in the Peloton

Behind them, three riders chased solo but eventually bridged across, forming the final decisive break of ten riders. A huge credit goes to our other four riders in the peloton, who worked brilliantly to disrupt any chase attempts. Each time the peloton tried to accelerate, a Lucky rider was there to shut it down—a textbook example of great team strategy!
Meanwhile, Hjalmar continued dominating the sprints, securing more points, and by the end of the race, he claimed the white leader’s jersey for the Dutch Sprint Cup!
Tactical Battle in the Final Laps

As the race entered the final quarter, another chase group formed, including Calle Kagevi, but they were more than a minute behind the breakaway. The peloton, now 1.5 minutes behind the leaders, was at risk of being lapped. With 10 laps to go, race officials pulled the peloton from the race, including Max Nielsen, Gustav Thompson, and Wincent Wallinder.
Up front, tactical racing kicked in with 7-8 laps to go, and the chasing group slowly gained ground but never posed a real threat. Hjalmar and Axel worked hard to keep the front group together heading into the final lap.
Sprint – Axel 2nd, Hjalmar 3rd!

With one lap to go, a three-man move briefly got a small gap, including Axel, but the race came back together just in time for the final sprint.
In the last 200 meters, both Hjalmar and Axel positioned themselves perfectly in the top five. As the sprint launched, Axel powered up but fell just short, finishing second, a bike length behind Rico van Damme, while Hjalmar took third!
Results:
